Meet – Katie

Katie – Club Supervisor
Katie has been part of the Sooke Fitness community since 2006, and since joining the team in April 2022, she’s brought her love of fitness and dedication to helping others reach their goals every day on the job. With over 20 years of experience as a gym-goer (inspired by her mom who got her started), Katie is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all members.
Katie holds a degree in Political Science with a minor in World History from the University of Victoria. Beyond her academic pursuits, she dedicated 13 years volunteering at Wild ARC, a wild animal rehabilitation center, showing her deep commitment to giving back to her community.
Her personal fitness goals are all about building lean muscle and adding tone, and she’s right there with members working toward her best self. Katie’s interests span beyond the gym as well; she loves watching movies, playing computer games, gardening, and taking long walks.
