Lee – Operations Manager
With over two decades of experience in the fitness industry, Lee brings a wealth of leadership and expertise to Sooke Fitness. Having worked with some of Canada’s top fitness brands in both tech and brick-and-mortar environments, Lee’s journey has spanned continents, including roles in Scotland, the USA, and the Middle East. He holds a degree in Sports Coaching with Sports Management and has served as a personal trainer for high-profile clients in Vancouver, as well as a swimming coach, lifeguard, and trainer of future lifeguards
.
Joining Sooke Fitness in 2016, Lee has become a cornerstone of our team, guiding operations with a passion for leadership and coaching. Outside the club, Lee is an adventurer at heart—he recently took up canyoning around Vancouver Island, and he’s also a dedicated mountain biker, explorer, and family man.
Lee’s current fitness routine includes kickboxing three times a week and early morning gym sessions, where he focuses on strength and endurance. His go-to supplements include Creatine, ISO Protein, Pre-Workout, and daily multivitamins to keep him fueled and ready.
Originally from Scotland (though now with a Canadian accent after 20 years here!), Lee’s love for outdoor activities is matched only by his commitment to supporting the Sooke Fitness community. His achievements include a half Ironman, several Gran Fondo cycling events, adventure races, and a recent 10km Spartan race, showcasing his drive and commitment to fitness and adventure.
